Caddo Sheriff's deputies are investigating a body discovered in a burning car last night, said Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator.

Just after 9:30 p.m., deputies received a call from a citizen who said they heard an explosion. When the citizen went to investigate they discovered a burning Impala at Walden Ferry Road and Elysian Fields in Greenwood. Inside the vehicle was a body. Identification is pending from the Caddo Coroner. 

Fire District #3 was called to extinguish the fire. The Sheriff's Office is working the discovery as a homicide. No other information is available at this time.
