A Keithville man is in jail for killing another man at a mobile home on Barron Road Monday night.

 

Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator said Garrett David Morgan, 18, was arrested for shooting 44-year-old Harold Addie in the face during a domestic dispute.

 

Detectives said Morgan and Addie's step-daughter lived together in the 900 block of Barron Road. Addie was visiting the residence when he overhead an argument between Morgan and Addie's 15-year-old nephew. During a subsequent argument between Addie and Morgan, Morgan produced a gun and Addie was shot. He died at the scene.

 

Morgan fled but turned himself in to authorities a short while later near Barron and Newson roads.

 

He is being held at Caddo Correctional Center on charges of second-degree murder and being a felon in possession of a firearm. No bond has been set.
