A Keithville man is in jail charged with 62 counts of forgery, said Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator.

Paul Casabonne, 35, is accused of forging checks on an account for Life Quest Medical Supply in Shreveport. The checks were stolen during a burglary of the business in 2014.

Casabonne was involved in a car crash on September 24. During an investigation of the crash, 32 Life Quest checks were found in his car, many of which were made out to him with forged signatures. Further investigation determined that Casabonne had issued numerous forged checks in Shreveport and East Texas. The checks totaled more than $21,000.  

Casabonne is being held at the Caddo Correctional Center. This case was investigated by Detective Bobby Herring.
