CPSO arrests man for theft at local business
Thursday, July 9, 2015
The Caddo Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man for stealing a 4-wheeler and utility trailer from CES Compliance Envirosystems, said Sheriff Steve Prator.
A security video released to the public showed an SUV leaving 8520 Hatfield-Gorman Road with the stolen 2006 Kawasaki Prairie 4-wheeler and the black utility trailer on June 25.
That SUV was located in the 9200 block of Cade Drive at the home of the suspect, Dewayne Thomas, 41, about 1/10 of a mile from the business from where it was stolen. Thomas was arrested at his residence on a warrant for felony theft obtained by Sheriff’s Detective Donnie Laney. Laney said it’s believed the stolen property was sold in another parish.
Thomas was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center.
