CPSO arrests two men for aggravated burglary
BELL, CHRISTOPHER
DEMUNGUIA, DONTE
Two men are in jail this morning for breaking into a home while the residents were asleep inside, said Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator.
About 11:15 p.m. Tuesday night, the Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call from a woman in the 9300 block of Lowry Road. She reported that she and her husband, both of whom were asleep in the living room, awoke after hearing someone in their home.
Her husband retrieved his shotgun and pursued one suspect as he fled through the kitchen door. Outside, the caller’s husband found a second suspect armed with a shotgun, hiding behind a tree. The victim ordered that suspect to the ground at gunpoint but was attacked from behind by the other suspect who then took the victim’s shotgun.
Both suspects fled in a dark blue vehicle which was spotted minutes later on Blanchard Latex Road by Sheriff’s Patrol Sgt. James Moore. Moore initiated a traffic stop and detained the driver, Christopher Bell, 27, of the 8500 block of Jackson Street, and his passenger, Donte Demunguia, 21, of the 900 block of Southwood Drive, both of Shreveport.
Both suspects were identified. The victim’s shotgun and a second shotgun were recovered from the vehicle.
Bell was arrested for aggravated burglary and felon in possession of a firearm. Demunguia was arrested for aggravated burglary. Both men were booked into the Caddo Corrrectional Center.
The case remains under investigation by Sheriff’s Lt. Bill Rehak and Detective Matt Purgerson.
