A Shreveport man was arrested today for committing several car burglaries on Scarpengo Drive, said Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator.

The burglaries occurred just after midnight on Sunday, May 17. The suspect fled the scene when deputies arrived but his abandoned vehicle was located nearby.

After an investigation, Detective Andy Scoggins arrested Keith Arnold Reed, 53, in the 900 block of Winter Garden. He was booked into Caddo Correctional Center today for four counts of simple burglary and resisting an officer.

Sheriff Prator said deputies believe other suspects who have committed recent vehicle burglaries are still at large. Residents are reminded to secure their valuables and lock their vehicles.
