Narcotics agents make large meth seizure
Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator and Shreveport Police Chief Willie Shaw announced that the Caddo-Shreveport Narcotics Unit arrested one suspect and seized nearly one pound of methamphetamine ice during the execution of a search warrant Thursday, May 14, 2015.
Agents with the Caddo-Shreveport Narcotics Unit along with members of the Shreveport Police Special Response Team executed a search warrant in the 4000 block of Bullen Street in Shreveport.
As a result of the search warrant, James Haynes (DOB 9/29/78) was arrested for possessing schedule II narcotics with the intent to distribute. Agents seized 433 grams of methamphetamine ice, $9,000 in cash, three four wheelers and a 2012 Dodge truck. Agents also recovered two stolen four wheelers and a 2012 Kia which was reported stolen from Avis Car Rental in Shreveport.
The nearly one pound of methamphetamine ice had a street value of approximately $50,000 said Sheriff Prator.
James Haynes was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center. The investigation is ongoing.
