Caddo deputies arrested a Vivian teen-ager this morning and charged him with stabbing his parents, said Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator.

Shane Alexander, 17, woke his father and step-mother around 3 a.m. and  stabbed both with a knife. LaDonna Alexander, 61, was stabbed once in the chest and drove herself to North Caddo Memorial Hospital. She was treated and released. Jerry Alexander, 64,  was stabbed in the back and arm. He locked himself in the bedroom and called 911. He was later transported to University Health with non-life threatening injuries.

Caddo Patrol deputies arrived at the house in the 10000 block of Upper State Line Road where Shane was taken into custody by Deputy Devin Pickett. He was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center on two counts of attempted first-degree murder.
