A Keithville woman was arrested early this morning for firing a gun at her boyfriend, said Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator.

Daisha Marie Benjamin, 36, was picked up at her work place on Mansfield Road after Sheriff’s deputies worked throughout the night to locate her. She was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center for illegal use of a dangerous weapon.

Sheriff’s Detective Matt Purgerson said Benjamin and her boyfriend got into an argument at their mobile home in the 1800 block of Pine Grove. As she was leaving the residence, Benjamin retrieved a gun from her car and fired in the direction of her boyfriend, who was standing in the doorway. A bullet shattered the glass storm door. Her boyfriend was not injured.

No bond has been set for Benjamin.
