A Bossier City man is in Caddo custody for stealing merchandise from his employer and selling it on E-Bay, said Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator.

Michael David Thompson, 60, was booked into Caddo Correctional Center on Monday on a charge of theft.

Prator said Thompson’s employer, Construction Safety Products, reported missing inventory from the company. Thompson returned $2,371 worth of inventory and admitted to selling other items on E-Bay. The value of those items has not yet been determined.

The case remains under investigation by Caddo Sheriff’s Detective Donnie Laney.
