A Keithville couple is in jail charged with cruelty to a 5-year-old boy, said Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator.

Rebecca Clark and Joshua Phillips turned themselves in to authorities after Sheriff’s Detective Dorothy Brooks Carter obtained warrants for their arrest. Carter began investigating the couple after family members sought medical attention for the child in another parish. The child had bruises to his face, upper body, a black eye, and hair missing from his scalp.

Clark, 21, and Phillips, 25, reside together in the 13000 block of John Gins Road in Keithville. Both are currently in the Caddo Correctional Center.
