Three arrested for drive-by shooting
EASTER, JR, DENNIS
TAYLOR, III, JAMES
WILLIAMS, CHARLES
Three men are now behind bars for a drive-by shooting that occurred in Vivian this past October, said Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator.
Sheriff’s detectives obtained warrants on Thursday for Dennis Wayne Easter Jr., 18, of Oil City; Charles Lamont Williams, 18, of Belcher; and James Taylor III, 17, of Vivian. Each is charged with three counts of attempted first-degree murder and assault by drive-by.
Three people were inside a house on McArthur Drive in Vivian on October 15 when several shots were fired into the residence from a vehicle. Although they were in the line of fire, no one was hit.
A three-month investigation by Sheriff’s Detectives Terry Richardson and Chris Daniel identified the suspects as Easter, Williams, and Taylor. Easter was arrested earlier today in Vivian. Williams and Taylor were already in the Caddo Correctional Center on unrelated charges. Taylor’s previous charges involve a second drive-by shooting that occurred in Oil City in January.
Bond for all three men was set at $175,000.
