Agents with the Caddo-Shreveport Narcotics Unit arrested a Mooringsport family on Tuesday for creating a drug lab for the purpose of manufacturing meth, according to Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator and Shreveport Police Chief Willie Shaw.

Agents were responding to a tip about possible drug activity when they searched a house in the 300 block of Greenwood Street in Mooringsport and found various chemicals used to manufacture meth.  Agents also found a computer with a recipe for manufacturing meth displayed on the screen.

Arrested were Beverly Colgin, 55; her husband Randy, 61; and son Jonathan, 25. All were booked into the Caddo Correctional Center for creation and operation of a clandestine laboratory.
