A Doyline man was arrested by the Caddo Sheriff’s Office for participating in a sexual online chat with what he believed to be a 15-year-old girl, said Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator.

Sheriff’s Detective Jared Marshall began the online investigation after he was contacted by a parent about their child’s chat conversations on a social networking application called Meet24.

Marshall assumed the identity of a 15 year old and chatted with 23-year-old Michael Lane Pearson. During the conversation, Pearson sent sexually inappropriate textual and visual images to the assumed 15-year-old identity.

Marshall obtained an arrest warrant for Pearson on Wednesday, and Pearson turned himself in at the Caddo Correctional Center later that day. He was charged with one count of Indecent Behavior with Juveniles.
