A carrier for the Inquisitor newspaper was arrested for stealing over $1,000 from the company, said Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator.

Rebecca Teague was arrested for felony theft following an investigation by Det. Bobby Herring of the Caddo-Shreveport Financial Crimes Unit.

Teague was responsible for delivering papers and taking payments from customers. Herring said she stole cash payments from customers and manipulated accounting paperwork in an attempt to conceal the thefts. The thefts started in late September and continued through October.  

She was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center.
