Arrest made in Vivian shooting
Caddo Sheriff's deputies, with the assistance of the Vivian Police Department, have arrested one man in connection with an afternoon shooting, said Sheriff Steve Prator.
Just before noon today, deputies and police were called to the Monterey Hills Apartments in Vivian where 28-year-old LaMichael Watson had been shot in the abdomen. Det. Andy Scoggins said Watson was shot by his brother, Cardarrio Watson, 24, after the two fought over a $2 debt.
Cardarrio Watson fled the apartment after the shooting and was caught by Vivian Police Sgt. Bubba Davis about a half hour later in a wooded area on Randy Lane. Cardarrio Watson was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center by Det. Scoggins on a charge of aggravated second-degree battery.
LaMichael Watson was taken to University Health by LifeAir Rescue where he is currently being treated for a non-life threatening injury.
