Caddo Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Rodessa man for kidnapping a woman on Mira Levee Road overnight, said Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator.

Shontera Brown, 32, of Vivian, was a passenger in a car that was traveling on Mira Levee Road just after midnight when her vehicle was blocked in by a truck driven by Roger Dell Dixon, 61, of Rodessa. Brown and Dixon had recently ended a relationship. Dixon pulled Brown from the car and slapped her several times. He then forced her into his truck and drove to his nephew’s where he confronted the nephew about his previous relationship with Brown.

Afterward, Dixon drove Brown to another location before his truck was spotted on Memory Lane by Caddo Sheriff’s Cpl. John Baccarie and Deputy Devin Pickett. Dixon was taken into custody, and Brown was released with minor injuries.  

Dixon was booked into Caddo Correctional Center by Detective Russell Hicks for second-degree kidnapping and simple battery.
