Drugs, silver, stolen goods seized during investigation
The DEA Task Force along with the Caddo-Shreveport Narcotics Unit arrested a Shreveport man on Saturday and seized drugs, silver bars, and suspected stolen goods during a search of his house.
Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator and Shreveport Police Chief Willie Shaw said agents executed a search warrant at 3129 Woodlawn Ave. with the assistance of the Caddo Sheriff’s Special Response Team. During the search, agents located 467.6 grams (approximately one pound) of methamphetamine inside a wax candle. Also seized were three baggies of methamphetamine, a small amount of marijuana, a variety of vials containing suspected steroids, syringes, methamphetamine pipes, drug scales, Lortabs, multiple vials of other unknown substances, and six baggies of unknown powder substances.
Also found during the search were items believed to be stolen, including two chainsaws, a welding machine, a Keurig coffee maker, two Frigidaire air conditioner units, four generators, one computer, an electric smoker, a leaf blower, a Samsung entertainment system, a credit card maker and printer, and approximately $2,400 in cash. Agents located 150 one-ounce silver bars in a box and are working to determine whether they are stolen or possibly were purchased by the suspect in an effort to launder drug proceeds.
A continuation of the investigation at another location resulted in the seizure of 1,702 additional one-ounce silver bars valued at approximately $35,000.
Arrested during this investigation was Sloan Jackson, 38. Jackson was arrested for possession of schedule II (methamphetamine) with the intent to distribute, possession of over 400 grams of methamphetamine, and two counts of possession of schedule III CDS. Jackson was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center. Additional charges are pending.
