The Caddo Sheriff’s Office arrested a man after 20 storage units were broken into on Kay Lane, said Sheriff Steve Prator.

Locks were cut on the storage unit doors and items were taken, including furniture, art, clothing, and office equipment, over a two-day period on February 21-22.

Christopher Charles Bailey, 42, was developed as a suspect in the case, and detectives conducted a search of his Lister Street apartment shortly after the break-ins, according to Sheriff’s Detective Terry Richardson. During the search, items taken during the storage facility burglary were located inside Bailey's apartment and also inside a 6x10 enclosed cargo trailer located on the property. The trailer had been stolen from the Baptist Collegiate Ministry building on LSU-S campus.  A second trailer also was filled with stolen items taken in other burglaries and thefts.

Bailey fled the area but was recently arrested in Panama City Beach, FL on unrelated charges. He was extradited back to Caddo Parish and is currently being held at Caddo Correctional Center on two counts of burglary and one count of illegal possession of stolen things for the Caddo Parish crimes and one count of motor vehicle theft for a crime investigated by the Shreveport Police Department. His total bond is $265,862.
