Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator is offering a basic firearms and safety class for women from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 14 at the Sheriff’s Regional Training Academy.

Sheriff’s deputies will teach safe handling and firing of handguns on the Academy firing range, and basic self-defense, situational awareness, and personal safety.

The course if free, but pre-registration is required by calling Community Programs at 681-0875.
