Former bookkeeper arrested for forgery
Tuesday, April 8, 2014
Caddo Sheriff’s detectives arrested a bookkeeper on Monday for stealing more than $28,000 from his former employer, said Sheriff Steve Prator.
Leland Jamison, 47, was employed by Southwestern Packing and Seals from March to December 2013. Sheriff’s Detective Doug Smith said during that time Jamison cut three checks payable to himself that were over his payroll amount and deposited them into his personal account. Jamison also made personal deposits of duplicate checks paid to vendors. The total loss was $28,755.76.
Jamison was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center for forgery.
