A Shreveport woman was arrested for production of child pornography for taking sexually explicit photos of a 2-month-old family member, said Sheriff Steve Prator.

Brandi Nichole Brown, 28, of the 8900 block of Parkhaven Place, was arrested by the Caddo Sheriff’s Office on Sunday following an investigation by Detectives James Moore and Jared Marshall.

The Sheriff’s Office was contacted by another family member who shares a cell phone with Brown and found the photos on the phone opened to Brown's Facebook page. Detectives determined Brown took the photos of the baby girl and sent them by private message to a man on Facebook.

On Monday, Detectives Moore and Marshall located that man, Nicholas Ray Freeman, 26, of the 6700 block of Buncombe Road, and arrested him for pornography involving juveniles. The pictures were still on his phone at the time of his arrest.
