A teacher at Northwood High School was arrested by Caddo Sheriff's deputies today for improper behavior with a student, said Sheriff Steve Prator.

Jared Honea, 26, of Shreveport, was arrested for indecent behavior with a juvenile following an investigation by Sheriff's Youth Services Detectives James Moore and Jared Marshall.

During the investigation it was learned that since January Honea exchanged several Snapchat messages with a 15-year-old student. In those conversations, he asked for nude photographs of the girl and made inappropriate sexual references. The girl sent him photos of herself in a bra and underwear, according to Moore.  

Honea has been employed as a math teacher at the high school for the past year. He previously worked at a local private school.

He was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center.
