Man arrested on drug charges across from school
The Caddo-Shreveport Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant across the street from a local elementary school on Tuesday and arrested one person on drug charges, said Sheriff Steve Prator and Police Chief Willie Shaw.
Agents went to a residence at 3811 Conway Street, across the street from Claiborne Elementary, and found Renaldo Marquette Smith inside the home. During the search, agents found approximately 150 grams of marijuana and two semi-auto pistols, one of which was reported stolen from Bossier City. The weapons and the majority of the marijuana were discovered in an attic crawl space.
Smith, 31, was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm with CDS, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and illegal possession of a stolen firearm.
More charges could be forthcoming.
