Student arrested for aggravated arson at local high school
Friday, February 14, 2014
Caddo sheriff's deputies arrested a student at Woodlawn High School today for setting a fire in the girl's restroom, said Sheriff Steve Prator.
Kentria McCall, 17, of the 600 block of Harrison Street in Shreveport, was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center by Cpl. Shannon Cornelius, who is assigned to the school as a resource officer.
McCall caused significant damage to the restroom when she lit toilet paper on fire and threw it into a trash can, which then caught the bathroom stall on fire.
Cornelius said the fire alarm was activated and about 100 students were evacuated.
