Caddo Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a shooting involving juveniles that occurred earlier this morning in Vivian, said Sheriff Steve Prator.
Detectives say a 16-year-old boy was visiting another 16-year-old boy around 11:30 a.m. in the 300 block of Choctaw when he was shot. The second boy was reportedly playing with a .38 revolver loaded with rat shot when the gun accidentally discharged striking the visiting boy in the cheek.
The victim was transported to North Caddo Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
The investigation is continuing.
