Tuesday, December 17, 2013
The driver who struck a Caddo sheriff's patrol car on Sunday was issued a citation for careless operation at the conclusion of the investigation, said Sheriff Steve Prator.
Jody Hollis, 39, of Bossier City, was issued the citation today. Authorities said Hollis has been extremely cooperative during the investigation.
Sheriff's Cpl. Mark McLaughlin was injured when the patrol car he was sitting in was hit from behind by Hollis' eastbound Yukon. McLaughlin's vehicle was stopped to assist a motorist who had pulled onto the inside shoulder of I-220.
McLaughlin was treated at University Health and was released from the hospital yesterday.
