Man arrested for attempted murder of ex-girlfriend
A Shreveport man is facing attempted murder charges for running his ex-girlfriend's vehicle off the road then fleeing the scene after her car flipped over, said Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator.
Witnesses reported seeing Jacques Deshun Bridges force Phaedra Quanette Holloway's Nissan Altima off the road just after 2 a.m. on Saturday. Holloway was driving north on Hwy. 173 near Roy Road when her car was rammed from behind by a Jeep knocking the Altima off the road and causing it to roll over. Holloway was taken to LSUHSC by Caddo Fire District #1 for treatment of moderate injuries.
Bridges, 29, fled the scene but was located and arrested late Saturday night by Caddo Deputy L.C. Cope. Bridges was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center for hit and run. A charge of attempted second-degree murder was added after a follow-up investigation by Caddo Detective Michael Price.
