A 19-year-old Vivian man was arrested Thursday for rape and related offenses, said Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator.

Christopher Harkness, of the 1200 block of North Cypress, was arrested by Detective James Moore following an interview with the Sheriff’s Office.

Harkness is accused of sexually assaulting a female while he believed she was unconscious. The incident occurred on May 4.

He was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center for simple rape, sexual battery, and possession of marijuana.

Deputies Mike King and Rickey Evans assisted Moore in the investigation.
